Nikon reveals new GPS for its DSLR's

The GPS unit, expected in shops later this year, enables the photographer to record latitude, longitude and altitude in the image EXIF file. The GP-1 can be attached to the camera's accessory shoe, or strap, and is powered by the camera's battery.

The accessory will be compatible with cameras including the D90, D3 and D300. A price has not yet been released.
