I did not have long to test this teleconverter, but with the 300mm f2.8 if worked very well. For me the idea of putting a teleconverter between the lens and the camera means you should never know it is there, apart from your images being zoomed (in this case x2) you should not see any difference to your image quality. This tele does this, you can forget it is there as you images will look just as good as before you put it on. Plus all you autofocus options will still work (with most lenses).

It leaves the images sharp and with no visible signs of Vignetting or chromatic abrasion. But I was using Sony's 300mm f2.8 (built to order lens) this might not be quite as good on some of the lower end zooms.

Worth the money (especially if you have brought the 300mm f2.8) so I think this is an item that should be in the bag of any one with long lenses that need the extra reach.

I had to return the converter as the image quality suffers significantly. I used a tripod and used it handheld with the G series 70-200mm lens. The images were significantly reduced in their quality. I had to return the unit as it was unacceptable or me.

This little guy is compact and lightweight. I added it to my G series 70-200mm lens. A few preconceived notions I had were dispelled almost immediately. They said the f stops would need to drop by two by adding this. I thought I would have to make manual adjustments. I did not. When you power on, the lowest two fstops are removed as an option, and even in auto exposure, the pictures are exposed properly. Excellent shots with this fitted behind the G series lens.

One nice thing I did not know about is that they include a bag that fits this teleconverter snugly. I thought I would be stuck finding a really small bag to put it in.
